Meet The Team
Ruma Ahmed (She/Her)
Hello! I am Ruma, President of Women In Engineering. I am studying industrial engineering at Gina Cody School of Engineering and Computer Science. I started off as an outreach volunteer in my first year. I was compelled by WIE’s mission to inspire future generations of women to be more engaged in STEM fields. I first joined the association as an outreach director and then assumed the role of Vice-President Outreach for two years. It is a great honor to be working as a President with such a passionate team, ready to continue WIE’s legacy of female empowerment. It is important for us to promote inclusivity in engineering and computer science and we hope you can join our journey. We look forward to the great things we have planned ahead, so stay tuned for all of these! If you would like to know more about WIE or wish to join our wonderful community, feel free to reach out!
